About NRLRC
The National Roofing Legal Resource Center (NRLRC) is open to roofing, roof deck
and waterproofing contractors and acts as a legal advocate for roofing contractors
throughout the U.S. Issues such as contract language, employee relations, regulatory
compliance, payment provisions, insurance coverage, and codes and standard can threaten
a contractor's profitability and even its existence. NRLRC provides its members
with assistance in addressing issues such as these, ultimately saving them time
and legal fees.
Mission
To develop and deliver unique products and services that enable roofing contractors
to successfully manage and respond effectively to legal and regulatory issues affecting
their businesses.
Strategic Plan
NRLRC has a strategic plan that it follows when developing new programs and benefits
for its members. According to its 2010 plan of work, NRLRC's goal is to become more
visible, proactive and progressive by taking a more innovative approach toward its
business strategies and operating practices.
"Our goal is to let contractors know NRLRC can provide immediate assistance in the
event of a looming legal problem and guidance to prevent legal problems in the future,"
says Phil McKinney, a NRLRC former president and president of Evans Service Co.,
Elmira, N.Y. "Contractors don't realize what an invaluable resource NRLRC can be
until they become members."
Board of Directors
NRLRC is governed and managed by a 10-member
board of directors duly elected each
year by NRCA's leadership.
