Making sure roof system construction meets applicable code requirements is becoming
an increased source of liability for roofing contractors. During this 75-minute
webinar, you will gain a greater understanding of building code provisions so you
can determine your liability for code compliance.
Building code expert Mark Graham will explain the new building codes effective in
2012 and steps you need to take to comply. He will help you decipher the most recent
changes found within the International Code Council's (ICC's) updated model codes,
commonly referred to as I-codes, which will be adopted by jurisdictions beginning
in 2012. ICC's new editions contain numerous roofing-related changes, and you must
begin preparing for them now.
NRLRC's legal counsel Stephen Phillips and his associate Brian McCormick will discuss
design liability risks as they relate to code compliance and reroofing projects.
They will discuss your potential liability for code violations in situations where
you contract directly with a building owner when no design professional has been
retained, as well as when the project involves an owner-retained architect or engineer.
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
