Your roofing legal resource

NRLRC was established by NRCA as a separately funded organization and acts as a legal advocate for roofing contractors throughout the U.S. Specifically tailored to roofing contractors' needs, NRLRC addresses issues such as contract language, employee relations, regulatory compliance, payment provisions, litigation, insurance coverage, and codes and standards, which often affect not only your contracting company's profitability, but even its existence. NRLRC provides assistance in resolving legal issues such as these, ultimately saving you time and attorneys' fees researching this information on your own.

NRLRC's Web site is a comprehensive resource of legal information, including a legal help line; education information; Members Only news, including the legal database, more than 40 contract provisions, legal bulletins, state licensing information and news stories.

As part of your membership, you receive access to free, expert legal assistance valued at more than $800 through NRLRC's general counsel and to the organization's comprehensive database of more than 300 legal publications about roofing-related legal topics. You also receive discounted registration fees to NRLRC's Annual Seminar, which will be held Nov. 4-6, 2010, in San Antonio.

NRLRC's monthly e-newsletter, The Legal Center, keeps you educated and updated about the latest legal cases, employment issues and court decisions available to help improve your operations. NRLRC News also provides you with contract provisions and monthly legal guides to help you address specific legal situations and focus on the key elements of a good contract, including payment terms, the various obligations of the parties, liability issues, remedies and termination rights.
